The Caucasian Albanian script, also known as Old Albanian or Aghban, was used from around the 5th century CE to write the language of the native people of Caucasian Albania (present-day Azerbaijan and Dagestan). Rediscovered in the 20th century, inscriptions in this script provide valuable insights into the linguistic and cultural history of the eastern Caucasus.
