The Armenian Unicode block contains the characters of the Armenian script, created by Mesrop Mashtots in the early 5th century. It is integral to Armenian identity, literature, and religious tradition, and is still used for writing both Eastern and Western Armenian today.
Armenian is a Unicode block containing characters for writing the Armenian language, both the classical and reformed orthographies. Five Armenian ligatures are encoded in the Alphabetic Presentation Forms block.
